MORTY'S CAFE

Monday - Thursday 7am - 10pm
Friday - Saturday 7am - 12am

We're turning 1!

This Saturday (Sept. 19, 2015), marks one year since we first opened our doors!  We've worked really hard to create Morty's Cafe and we're pleased with what we've accomplished.  The support from everyone has been inspiring. We're glad to know people value quality food from a local establishment.

We began with the stated goal of creating "Cache Valley's Best Quick-Serve Hamburger" and in the last year, we have been included in many "Best Of" lists, including:

Then, this week, we were honored with the recognition of "Cache Valley's Best Burger" by the Cache Valley Family Magazine at the Cache Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting. Over 12,000 of you voted, and we are humbled to have been chosen for the award.  Thank You.

We're celebrating this honor and the success we've had during our first year with an all-day event this Saturday including specials, live music, prizes, and great food (of course) ... so come in to Morty's Cafe to enjoy the fun.

To think, just 2.5 years ago, we began the quest of making this dream a reality.  By working with architects, engineers, and the city, we aimed to make a unique building to complement our unique menu items. We didn't see the culture or commerce near the university campus, which is common for other university towns.  In fact, Utah State University had a reputation for the lack of culture near campus.  We wanted to help change this.

To assist in making this location the best it could be, we called upon the craftsmanship of Holland Cannon to do the interior design and woodwork in our dining area; everything from the bar stools, to cabinetry, to the walls, and trim.

In order to promote this, we launched our Kickstarter Campaign which reached it's goal in less than a month.

From there, the momentum only increased, as soon thereafter, news agencies began contacting us for stories. Again, the public support was wonderful.

We hired an amazing chef, Giau Ruiz-Hue, who created our initial recipes:

And then, after we opened, public interest increased and the news stories continued,

And, currently we are hosting the weekly-scheduled Coach's Shows with Football Coach Matt Wells, for which we will be the location the entire football season.

Now, we have a wonderful team, headed by the General Manager, Andy Jordan, and Assistant Manager, Skyler Baire, who continue the vision into year two.
